Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

The workunit was sent on 2.12. and received back on 4.12.. SO very fast 26 days ;-) CPU time of course, but most of us do not posess EPYC ;) the discussion may be going to loop of no compromise, so let us do some clear decisions: 1. The project 'yoyo' naturally unable to be divided by subprojects o...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

Hi yoyo, is it possible to divide ECM task to more subprojects like short/average/long as for example SRBase did for its CPU tasks? Then it would be likely no more reasons to avoid this project for sprints. In Primegrid we have a huge number of subprojects to choose and mostly the shorter ones are u...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

Hi Tim and everyone, I believe some projects are able to generate new tasks quickly to keep the ready-buffer constantly at 6k level for example, so yoyo possibly does. As Asteroids are showing us, 'tasks available' status doesn't mean the cruncher would get some immediately. And from the other side ...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

Ha all, the problem should be addressed at Asteroids forum. Despite having millions tasks ready, their feeder seems to be unable to maintain a quick distribution of large batches of tasks. It's happening every day, not only during sprints. Visually I see it in 'Task in progress' number which didn't ...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

But some volunteers might not have the latest hardware to install Windows 11 onto, so running Linux projects via WSL isn't possible unless you have upgraded your host(s). Hi Tim and everyone, I don't know why are so many people concerned with the 'latest hardware' issue for running Windows 11. I am...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

The issues of the particular sprint could still be considered as a track layout that everyone has to deal with ;)
I'm not happy either, but it's way better than nothing. And I mean constantly decreasing number of active projects.

It's always nice to hear back from projects that FB members crunching is appreciated ! Hi Tim, thanks for reposting this. Really nice. It was much fun as always and more than 450 pieces of this fun are still validating :D Last race forced me to check some old GPUs out of the shelf and those working...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected

Asteroids is out of tasks now with an extraordinary amount of tasks in progress. I hope this isn't somebody maliciously downloading all the tasks as I have seen happen before during sprints - computer full of tasks but tasks completed and no credit ever recorded on that computer. We shall see how m...
