The first time I saw it, Cruncher Pete had a load of entries at the bottom of the table, later on it changed to positions at the top of the table.
Hiya
That is REALLY strange...I've not seen anything like that before...!
I'll let Sebastien know and maybe he was doing some techy stuff on the back-office systems that might explain this...or it might just be some anomaly in the project stats_export file...
But obviously, if later on it appeared to "fix itself", then unless there's some other evidence, it might just be a "one off" occurrence?

Hi all
The project for Sprint #10 has been randomly selected.
The selected project is
PrimeGrid and in
celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the project, the end of the Sprint has been updated to Sunday 20:20 UTC. (Note: The PG Challenge finishes 2 days AFTER the end of the Sprint).
https://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=11523
Please note that the PrimeGrid Challenge features specifically the GFN-20 sub-project...BUT for FB, you can crunch ANY of the sub-projects as all the credits earned from every sub-project will all count towards the final Sprint total.

Hi all
The project for Sprint #11 has been randomly selected.
And just a reminder that there will be ONE more Sprint and then the promotion/relegation process will take place, so the more BOINC credits earned during Sprints #11 and #12 will give you more chance of being promoted or avoiding relegation !!

Hi Tim
Powercomp added the "CERN" team yesterday. Will the team make it to the start tomorrow?

Hi
Many thanks for the heads-up. I do usually check maybe once a week if a new Team or Member wants to register, but your message was perfectly timed.
I have added "CERN" to the team list. But in the registration request there was no mention of whether "Powercomp" wanted to register as an individual Member, so for now, until he confirms this, I have only added the team. It will start in League 4.

Hi all
The project for Sprint #11 has been randomly selected
and the chosen project is
Asteroids@home.
Please note that I have seen quite a few work units that end abruptly, with "Computation Error". Checking my account on the Asteroids website, it seems that many volunteers are also seeing this error on the
exact same work units.
So, if you see this error, it is unlikely to be your host computer but a fault/bug in the work unit itself.
And there are plenty of tasks available, so it is just an annoyance and I doubt you will lose any crunching time as they fail within a few seconds of starting up.

Tim

Hi
Thanks for the report but you did not mention which type of tasks you were referring to?
According to the Asteroids website at present (Task data as of 27 Jun 2025, 9:41:31 UTC) they have:
Tasks ready to send 662555
https://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/server_status.php
and my own host just downloaded more
CPU tasks, but I have not seen any
GPU tasks for a while.

Timbo,
please, no more Sprints with Asteroids, as long as they use this silly DOS / DDS - Blocking Tool
My Graka-Instances can't download enough WUs for continous crunching. The WUs are hanging in status "Downloading" and thats it
I have two "new" computers that try since Sprint-Start to download the necessary .exe but the download stucks at 30 to 50 percent. And yes, I have tried "retry" as often as possible.
You can check my stats and should see, that I'm one of your powerfull-Crunchers. But as long as Asteroids doesn't optimize their DOS / DDS blocking tool I will stop crunching Asteroids.
Other projects are using similar tools (your own words), but they manage it much better. I have only problems with Asteroids

it would be better to block Asteroids for Sprint,
my best Card, the 4090 runs every ~2 hours out of work and the retry time incrases to 2 hours or more.
The huge number of faulty Wu's makes this situation not better.
