The Invisble 10th

Post by UBT - wbiz »

Why do some projects not have the 1 point for 10th place but others do eg User - L2 -Sidock doesn't but User - L2 - SrBase does. There are multiple other cases.

Hiya

I think I've solved the issue that you raised.

The former FB Team member "entity" had asked to be excluded from this years Marathon and Sprints stats, and as this was requested after the coding for 2025 had been formulated, so for now, his entries in the Member League tables are being omitted. Hence why there are gaps of at least one space on various the Members League 2 tables for various projects.

In due course, if this member stops earning BOINC credits, then as other members continue to increase their BOINC credits, so in theory, the gaps will disappear as these entries will start to move towards the bottom of each respective project League table and then they'll just drop off the end.

Hi Tim

I thought about entity but I didn't have the data to prove it one way or the other however my instinct from changes in positions around that time suggested otherwise. I did record all the invisible man's positions on the UBT forum so I will check that all his positions are sinking not gaining (allowing for sprints ... see below)

Unfortunately the invisible man came 9th in the last sprint (numberfields).

Morning

Yup, it's a bit strange that unlike other Members who've been totally excluded, in the case, the stats are NOT being displayed, but they are still being accounted for. And in the case of the NumberFields Sprint, two Members have lost out on FB points due to his stats still being tabulated.

Maybe Sebastien can offer a better fix to this issue in due course?
